Online Business Optimization

It really just means getting your link strategy right.

Everyone asks me "How do you get TRAFFIC to your blog/site?" Traffic is the KEY!!!

Here's a trick that works for me...but first bear in mind these three things:

1. Consistency: Do whatever you decide to do consistently for 90 DAYS before you quit on it!

2. Free yourself and your creative time up by outsourcing the monotonous repetitive stuff!

3. Have a system in place.

I will explain all three of these in an example below.

To teally optimise your online business, here's a strategy.

1. Shoot a video (5mins)- do 5 per week (One per day is good)

2. Think of the keyword you want the video to be searched on....so for example if you put your  video up on YouTube and the title is RED BANANAS, and the viewer types in RED BANANAS because they are looking for information on red bananas, your video should come up for that key word.

3. Send the video to someone (for example a student/stay at home mom/outsourcer)- let them summarize your video (pay them $5 per video post of 300-500 words).

Use can zip the file and send it via email.

4. Post the video and the summary to your blog. Remember your Call To Action at the end of the post. You must give your reader somewhere to go after they've viewed your video. Typically it'll go to your landing page.

Remember to use the keyword in the title and sprinkle keywords liberally throughout the post.

5. Have your outsourcers submit the video via traffic geyser to loads of video sites. This Creates both backlinks and organic traffic from the sites themselves.

6. Have them also submit the article (summarized) to all article directories across internet. NB tell them what word you want hyperlinked (anchor text). It must be the keyword youy're optimising for.

7. Submit to other Web 2.0 sites (Face Book, Squidoo, WEEBLY, BetterNetworker)- watch out for Hub Pages,they dont allow duplicate content. You'll have to modify your article and title for Hub Pages. (And they only allow one outgoing link!)

This way you can get 100 backlinks per video back to your blog. 50 from video sites (with your blog URL in the description) and 50 from articles (with your bio and blog URL at the end of your article).

If you do 5 video's per week, you've got 500 backlinks to your blog per week. x 50 weeks...and in a year you're looking at 25000!

This will make you very popular with Google and will increase your SE Rankings exponentially!

When your potential clients type in a keyword you've optimised for (on Goggle search function)- guess who's blog post will come up...YOURS of course!!

Internet Attraction Marketing for MLM:Why the MLM Industry Never Used it before:

Traditional businesses have always done this.

But the MLM industry has shied away from it, because up until recently it wasn’t possible for the average person to afford a decent advertising budget and a marketing campaign.

Also most people simply didn’t have the skills to conduct a proper marketing campaign.

Because the MLM industry relies on the average person being able to duplicate a process, large scale marketing campaigns and skill sets involving marketing would have been too costly, lengthy and not duplicatable.

It wouldn’t have worked within the traditional MLM framework and leaders thus shied away from it.

Internet Attraction Marketing for MLM and Web 2.0

This has all changed fairly recently because of developments that have happened on the internet.

The internet, has come a long way because of  social marketing and Web 2.0.

Web 2.0 is a name given to recent developments on the internet, whereby people can interact online  by posting to forums, writing content on social marketing sites, upload pictures and video's or make changes to their own websites.

Before Web 2.0, the internet was really just a place where static websites were displayed.

Web 2.0 has made it very easy to connect with a friendship circle or community and network online.

It is fun, social and cost effective (even free) to do very successful marketing campaigns- even very large ones! (Hence the term "social marketing").

Its a brilliant way to attract prospects to you by building a following or audience. Of course, even though it's now relatively easy to market socially, there are some do's and don't in the social marketing arena, that need to be learned.

It's actually quite easy to understand.

Social etiquette online works pretty much the same as offline. If you've ever been out on a date, you probably already know what attracts you and what repels you!

Internet Attraction Marketing for MLM:Training

It is also possible now for people who don’t have technical skills or much marketing knowledge- to have training on how to do this social and other marketing online.

The internet provides a very low cost way for people to go online, subscribe to a course, listen to webinars or conference calls etc... and in a reasonable time, to have an effective marketing campaign working for them and bringing large numbers of prospects to them and their business.

You can use this training and online marketing to attract product customers, prospects for your business or even if you’re not in MLM, for any traditional small business or home based business.

Internet Attraction Marketing for MLM and Monetisation 

The best of all, is that during this lead generation process, there are ways for you to monetise (earn money).

It's upfront retail money that you earn by selling e-commerce or information products.

You can become an affiliate to some excellent programs and merchants, that provide information or products of interest to your target market.

By doing this, you promote these products and earn commissions when sales are made.

In the MLM industry, this is so important because one really needs multiple streams of income to subsidise the business building phase while waiting for the residual checks to kick in.

If, for example, you are targeting network marketers who are looking for alternatives to cold calling and wasting money buying low quality leads, you might provide a solution by explaining attraction marketing principles and how to use the internet to do it.

You might recommend an E-book that covers this topic. If you are an affiliate to the E-book author's programme, you can earn commissions when your prospects buy it. 

Or, if your target market is beginners who want to learn how to market online, you might recommend an easy to follow, step-by-step internet marketing course that shows you exactly how to do that.

If you are an affiliate, you will earn commissions when these people sign up.

Or, if you have people looking to register domains, build a website or set up an email autoresponder system, you would investigate the product, and if you liked it, join the affiliate programme. When your prospects buy any of these products, you will earn commission.

Be warned if you read this...you might never go back to jumping on your friends and family or buying leads or cold calling again!

I came across internet attraction marketing,while searching for ways to generate leads for my own new MLM business. This was in about February 2008.

I has been involved with my Network Marketing business for 18 months. One day, my  upline, sent me an email about a 35 page report on the MLM industry, by Ann Sieg.

It was called  The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing. Immediately intrigued, I downloaded it and didn't put the book down until I had finished reading it.

The  free 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing E book blew my mind. In it, Ann Sieg outlined 7 "myths" or lies that people within the MLM industry had based their whole businesses upon!

In fact, I had been taught to do the very same.

I recognised these "lies"- especially the one "everybody's a prospect".

Like millions of Network Marketers on the planet, I had been taught to approach anybody with a beating heart, to entice them into my business.

I had never felt comfortable with this, as deep down I knew that this went against one of the classic Business Marketing principles- "Research your Target Market".

Anyhow, I was new to the industry and just did what my upline told me to do. It would have been tolerable if I had actually made some money during that time.

But after trying everything my Upline told me to do, I realised there was something wrong. (I just didn't know what it was).

But, after having my EXACT problem so clearly analysed by Ann, I knew I had found the cause of my failure and Ineeded a solution.

I downloaded the follow up book-  the Renegade Network Marketer. This book turned out to be the best investment  I had made in my MLM career . It provided me with the SOLUTIONS to my problems in MLM!

My upline was rather unsure and reticent about buying Ann Sieg's book himself- being 10 years in the industry, very successful. He is one of the "leaders on the Stage" in MLM, living the life of freedom we all dream of. I think he was a little scared....A wonderful gentle distinguished older gentleman, he had come through his MLM journey using "Old School methods".

Heck, the first three years when he was building his business, they didn't even use cell phones (and he didn't even have a computer!).

As rather a shy person, he had always internally riled against cold calling or using the 3- foot rule.

Yet he too had been schooled in these methods. He told me once how he FELT GUILTY for not pouncing on a fellow airplane passenger while traveling overseas! (As we all know, for old schoolers, this airoplane scenario is a perfect opportunity to prospect!

You have 10 hrs to sell your business opportunity to the poor person who cannot escape! Of course according to Old school thought..."everybody's a prospect", even if they don't know it yet!)

Attraction Marketing Offline

I always wondered how he was so successful- with no marketing system and an internal resistance to "pouncing"....and then one day it struck me: He is attractive.

He is able to put himself (in a non pushy way) in front of people, creating rapport, offering real value and solutions to people's life problems, telling his story with humility and integrity. He used attractive marketing principles offline.

He absolutely hates HYPE. In his own stylish and gently sophisticated manner he lets people make their own decisions in their own time.

He is good at making himself LIKED by all who met him. Intuitively, without knowing it, this was his "attraction system". Although he was brilliant once a prospect was interested, like all of us, he also struggled to find leads.

My Network Marketing Embarrassing Story....

Being more of an extrovert myself, I had less trouble using the old school lead generating methods. I remember talking "belly to belly" to 10 leads a day for a period of 2 months non -stop! ( With limited success.)

I also remember embarrassing my sister terribly at a restaurant once, when I pounced on the waiter asking him if he wanted to wait on tables his whole life! She actually left half way through the meal!

This, and the fact that I was not really very successful at generating leads this way, gave me a wake-up call....I started looking for some other way to generate leads for my MLM.

I had also started realising that not "everybody is a prospect". Some people are quite happy with their family, occupation, retirement plans and money situation! Shocking as this may seem, it's true!

Despite being told "every no is closer to a yes", I was tired of the ongoing rejection. I wasn't feeling good about my business.

Network Marketing (MLM) and The Duplication Myth?

The other thing I was always on about was DUPLICATION.

In MLM Old school they teach you to duplicate yourself. Just find 5 and each of them find 5, which gives you 25..and they each find 5...etc (They don't teach you how, though!)

I could not duplicate him. I could not teach anybody to duplicate me, either. I started believing that duplication was a myth. I was told I didn't have enough "belief" and to "just hang in there".

By this stage I was ready to quit. I had nearly burned out and, had acquired a substantial debt.

And my downline was experiencing the same as me. The result was that as fast as I enrolled new people, the older ones dropped out. I did not have the finances to continue while I waited for my residual checks to kick in .

In short, I was treading water getting nowhere.

My Internet Attraction Marketing Intro:The Renegade Network Marketer System: Exciting but Overwhelming

And then: Enter Ann Sieg and the Renegade System. I read the book in one sitting. I was so excited- this was the solution I had been looking for: A way to generate leads by attracting them to you through internet marketing tools and strategies.

She had a marketing system that emphasized direct response marketing and good copywriting. Best of all, I learned about affiliate marketing.

This is a way to generate an upfront cash flow by selling low cost retail information products (e.g. E-books)-to people in your target market who are starved for this kind of information.

I learned you could make money while generating leads...Now we all know that 95% of our leads say "no" the first time, to our bizz opp...but they will more than likely buy your cheaper, front end E-book or course! You make money before anyone signs in!

WOW! I was excited. I signed up with the Renegade...and then I hit a wall: I was a non techie, with limited internet skills (I could email and surf the web!) My whole being resonated with The Renegade System...but I didn't have the technical skills required to drive traffic to me online.

The Renegade Marketer lists many ways of marketing online- and I did not have a clue how to start!

I didn't know how to build a blog, post content on social sites, submit Ezine articles, do a Pay-per-click Ad campaign, upload a video, set up an email marketing system with a proper email autoresponder etc. I was still excited but overwhelmed.

Internet Attraction Marketing Training:Marketing Merge and Renegade University

It was then that I found Mike Klingler's Marketing Merge and Renegade University.

This course teaches beginner network marketers how to set up their internet attraction marketing. It takes them step-by-step and click-by-click. It is based on Ann Sieg's Renegade System and in fact the Renegade Network Marketer is the Renegade University course book.

It really helped me because it is set up for the beginner in small bite sizes.

Mike Klingler teaches with visual video tutorials - making it possible to literally follow along.  I feel I can teach this stuff to my team- which is what is most important, because in network marketing, it's about duplication. 

My upline is watching this process with increasing interest. Luckily for me, he has been doing his own attraction marketing offline all these years. He taught me right in the beginning how "to work like a cat, and not like a dog".

Ever noticed how a cat will watch you for a long time, and if he likes you he might allow you to stroke him!

Compared to a dog that just jumps on you whether you like it or not!

Well as a marketes you can choose to get people to come to you, like a cat does.

This is attractive marketing.

Or you can go and jump on people pushing yourselves and your products/opportunity on everybody withing 3 feet of us- like a dog.

This is desperate marketing.
