Network Marketing (MLM) Prospecting

Another “Gem from the Gymnasium” here, folks.

Are you wasting your time with the wrong prospects? Spending ages coddling and nurturing and they don’t bring you any volume?

I think most people in the industry go through this “rite of passage”.

But the initiation’s over. You need to make your business work and earn some money.

If you want to get to the top in Network Marketing (MLM) you need to work with the right prospects (leaders in the making)- not waste your time with the people who haven’t got the goods in the first place.

In top level gymnastics we test prospective champions with a highly developed set of norms and protocols for morphological structure, aptitude and training ability. Having the “right” kids to work with greatly increases our chances of producing a champion.

We test morphological characteristics first and sift for specific body types (based on height, weight, posture, body proportions and general health norms). Those that make the requirements go onto the next round.

Then we do a series of aptitude tests to check physical ability (speed, co-ordination, strength) and mental aptitude (interest level, attitude, fear level, intelligence).

Once again, those making the requirements go through to the final round- a trial training period. Here we take into consideration their eagerness to learn + response to instruction, rate of improvement and most importantly their physical and mental load tolerance (ability to withstand high training loads).

Makes sense we should do the same when sifting our prospects for our MLM business, doesn’t it?

Ask a few pointed questions in the interview without acting fake or “playing hard to get”.

Quality them! (And not on whether they have the money or not! If they’re the right kind of person, they’ll find the money to join you!)

Questions that uncover whether they have the desire to drive them to do something substantial in a business of their own

Find out their REASON WHY they’re looking for a business opportunity right now.

And then go deeper as to what else they’re looking to get out of this business. Is it to make money to be able to pursue a passion full time (like an artist), is it to stay at home and be with their kids, is it to get out of their corporate job, is it an older person not ready (emotionally or financially) for retirement?

Look for big thinkers.

These questions (see video) and observing them over time, will help you assess the mental attitude of your candidate.

Could save you hours of time and frustration.

It’ll probably help you make sure your prospect has the “goods” to start off with- before you throw your pearls of wisdom at them!

Most importantly it shows you are more concerned with sponsoring the right people- not just making a sale!

If you’re new, the secret is to generate loads of leads so you are not invested in a person before they are qualified. So you are not needy. It shows leadership. And you can get clear about the type of person you want to work with!

This is a very good question.

If you are running a business or in an MLM Ask yourself: "Are you in front of the cash register or behind it?"

Are you paying out all the money or are you receiving it?

When I realised I was actually infront (paying) instead of behind (receiving)- it immediately struck me EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO BE DOING IN ORDER TO CHANGE ROLES.

Everything in life starts with desire.
